We welcome you to The White Pig Bed & Breakfast and Animal Sanctuary at
Briar Creek Farm, a vegan/vegetarian retreat located 23 miles south of
Charlottesville, Virginia in the scenic town of Schuyler. Schuyler, best
known as the childhood home of author Earl Hamner, and inspiration for the
television series The Walton's, is a small town in the foothills of the Blue
Ridge Mountains.
The White Pig Bed and Breakfast allows guests to escape to a peaceful,
compassionate environment and commune with nature. We've created a place
where people can come to enjoy healthy vegan/vegetarian meals, delight in
some quiet meditative time and visit with our animal friends both domestic
and wild.
We look forward to your visit!
"I have lived temperately, eating little animal food, and that not as an aliment, so much as a condiment for the vegetables which constitute my principal diet." -- Thomas Jefferson to Dr. Vine Utley, 21 March 1819
Thomas Jefferson's Monticello is only a picturesque & leisurely 20 minute drive away.
